Third District Rep. Isidro Ungab posted on his Facebook page showing the progress of the construction of the P8-billion Davao City Sports Complex.
The sports complex is being built in a 20-hectare lot within the premises of the University of the Philippines-Mindanao campus in Mintal.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) started working on three components, including the access road, stadium, and the indoor gym and multi-purpose building.
The whole sports complex will include the following facilities: 35,000-seater stadium, multi-purpose training gym, dormitory and medical building, low-rise commercial block, commercial block and recreation, parking building, power house and pump house, practice fields for football, tennis court, sports arena, archery and practical shooting range, indoor basketball, adventure sports, waste management and water treatment facility, aquatics center, and country club.
Ungab is joined by UP Mindanao Vice-Chancellor Antonio Obsioma, Barangay Captain Christopher Lapayag, DPWH Engineer Elmer Capili, officials from Barangay Bago Oshiro and UP Mindanao Campus.
